OK...Now that you’ve read the “fancy resume”, I want you to know that I’m ordinary in a lot of ways, too.
I grew up in a small Nebraska town of just over thousand people. My mom was the town’s kindergarten teacher and my dad was the postmaster. A typical mid-western, middle-class family.
After graduating from high school, I moved to Lincoln (where I still live today) to attend a small community college so I could earn a degree in mechanical drafting and get a job (did that for five years before my business took off).
I was not an overnight success in business. In fact, I lost money my first two years and only broke even in my third.
I play a lot of softball and basketball. I love movies, music, nurturing the trees I’ve planted, and the Chicago Cubs (alas, Nebraska doesn’t have a professional baseball team).
And probably like many of you, I have a family I adore. Pictured above is my incredible wife and now-business-partner, Bonnie, my beautiful children, Kyle and Kelsey, and my dog Apollo whose been at my side almost since the day I started my home business.
I guess what I’m saying is that if a small town boy from Nebraska with no business experience can make it, so can you.
Someday I hope we can meet. I’d love to hear your success story.
Warmest Regards,
